Intelliprop's Product News
- Hydra: RAID bridge with NCQ support:
IntelliProp is pleased to announce Hydra, a high performance SATA RAID bridge that incorporates support for Native Command Queued commands, and Data Set Management Commands such as TRIM. IntelliProp's Hydra product is a RAID-0 striping bridge that aggregates capacity for 2 , 4, or 8 drives. In addition to increasing capacity, it increases performance by using a hardware RAID engine. To the PC, the RAID bridge behaves as a single drive at SATA 3.0 (6GHz) speeds. The ability to handle all standard and non-standard ATA commands via firmware modification adds flexibility to the Hydra RAID bridge.
The Hydra RAID bridge is perfect for SSD companies that wish to increase capacity of their drives to 2TB and beyond in a 2.5" or 3.5" form factor, while maintaining high performance in IOPS or throughput. With support for Native Command Queued commands, small block IO’s per second are accelerated to near bus saturation. Large block transfers also approach theoretical maximum limits. Customers are able to reach 550MB/s with two SATA SSD and 100,000 IOPs with the Hydra RAID bridge. Support for Data Set Management commands such as TRIM ensure continued high performance of the RAID volume when built with flash based SSD’s.

- Pegasus: RAID bridge for the SSD market
IntelliProp is pleased to announce Pegasus, its newest product offering for the SSD market. IntelliProp's Pegasus product is a RAID-0 striping bridge that aggregates capacity for 2 , 4, 8 or more drives. In addition to increasing capacity, it increases performance by using a hardware RAID engine. To the PC, the RAID bridge behaves as a single drive at SATA 3.0 (6GHz) speeds.
The new RAID bridge is perfect for SSD companies that wish to increase capacity of their drives to 1TB or 2TB in a 2.5" or 3.5" form factor, without a loss in performance in IOPS or throughput for small sector transfers. In fact, there is a significant performance gain at large sector count transfers. Customers are able to reach 550MB/s with two SATA SSD drives using this RAID Bridge. Hydra, our follow-on product, will support NCQ and increases IOPS substantially. The targets are 100,000 IOPS and 550MB/s with four drives. Hydra will be released in a few weeks.
