ECC with BCH Algorithm IP Core

Silicon-proven Error Correcting Code IP core utilizing Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem (BCH) algorithms for high-bandwidth, low-latency data protection across NAND flash, storage systems, and telecommunications datapaths.

The IntelliProp IPC-BL119A-ZM ECC with BCH Algorithm IP Core is a production-hardened error correction module engineered to protect high-speed digital datapaths against randomly distributed bit errors. Utilizing industry-standard Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem (BCH) cyclic block codes, the core injects parity bits during encoding and performs high-speed syndrome calculations during decoding to guarantee data integrity in solid-state storage (NAND Flash, SATA, SAS), satellite communications, and wireless transmission systems.

Architected for maximum performance and low latency, the IPC-BL119A-ZM features fully parallelized encoding and decoding datapaths. The encoding process introduces zero additional latency, allowing data streams to pass through unhindered. The core is highly configurable, enabling engineering teams to tailor word lengths, block sizes, correction strength ($T$), and interface bus widths to meet exact system latency and throughput targets.

Delivered as clean, synchronous RTL, the core easily integrates with ONFI/Toggle Flash Controllers, memory bridges, and high-speed communication interfaces across leading FPGA fabrics and custom ASIC designs.

Features

  • Standard BCH Error Correction: Implements industry-standard Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem (BCH) algorithms to detect and correct random bit errors across linear block structures.
  • Zero-Latency Parallel Encoding: Highly parallelized encoder structure processes outgoing data streams without introducing pipeline latency delays.
  • High-Throughput Parallel Decoding: Accelerated parallel decoder state machines rapidly perform syndrome generation and error location searches for ultra-low decode latency.
